OnTarget Interactive

Its ironic how difficult it is for a marketing and communications company to market and communicate for themselves. OnTarget Interactive has gone through a lot of little changes in its 2 year conception. I’ve played a major part of the core design and strategy from day one. Pretty cool.

Background
OnTarget Interactive is a start-up company in Kansas City that had some equity and reputation carrying over from Digital Evergreen - now Barkley. But, for the most part, had no real identity or name for itself (other than the word “interactive”)

Objective
Educate individuals on the “Power of Interactive” - the basics, and possibilities they haven’t yet heard of. Position and leverage our expertise in digital marketing while expressing our personality and approachable approach.

Solutions

WEB SITE + VIDEO
Identify, Interact, Measure was the essence of what was said. Finding your best customers, interacting with them through 2-way communication (dialog), then since its all digital, measuring the results. Additionally the site was positioned to educate individuals, the way a “fun teacher” would. Interactive or visual “lessons” would be used to show AND tell thinking and possibilities.

BLOGS
One to position us as interactive experts. One to show personality and relevant interruptions - (1) items that are relevant to the industry (2) a random interruption (3) or in the case of great advertising, both.

IDEAS+
An AJAX interface and database for ideas, expert articles, and interactive tools tied to clients or objectives. This is where we capture items to share with clients or internally. Additionally this handy tool was poised to feed into OnTarget Friends (our interactive “client” portal)

ONTARGET FRIENDS (portal)
A place where all the rivers flow together - industry news, blog feeds, and ideas. “Clients” could see project status, progress, and potential ideas for their business objectives.

BRAND
A fun expressive color palette, clean typography and a design-your-own business card template helped communicate personality - business up front, party in back.
